Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Reports to: Head of P&C
Business Unit: Shared Services
Location: Dublin
Key Role Responsibilities
• Preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for our 500 employees.
• Checking, reviewing, and inputting of payroll data for accuracy, ensuring that
deadlines are met.
• Liaising and managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers.
• Responsibility of processing and reconciliation of employee pension payments
• Responsibility of processing and reconciliation of employee Health Care BIK and
payment to health care providers.
• Responsible for processing and reconciliation of bank transfers and funding to support
payroll payments runs.
• Support managers and employees with payroll queries and manage outcomes.
• Complete registrations and audits for new hires and manage employee exits from a
payroll perspective.
• Calculating and processing any intercompany payroll recharges.
• Calculate bonuses and allowances.
• Report on payroll expenses in compliance with the Enhance Reporting Requirements.
• Ensure salaries and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
• Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes, and insurance deductions.
• Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
• Managing relationships with internal stakeholders including Finance and P&C • Line
manager responsibility for Payroll Coordinator
Education, Qualifications and Skills required
• A minimum of an Accounting Technician or Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) or equivalent
qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years payroll experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Strong knowledge in Irish Income Tax.
• Customer service experience and focus on excellence.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience with international payroll is a plus but not essential.
