Test Automation Lead/Manager - Day Rate Contract

A leading Financial Services organisation requires an experienced Automation Manager/Lead for a long term contract

Must have a strong coding background i.e. either coders/developer or automation engineers that has moved into Automation Lead/Manager role.

Requirements:

1. Excellent understanding of the different types of automation frameworks such as: Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Appium, etc.
2. Creates the automation strategy/plan for the assigned projects/programs with a special focus on ROI – Return on Investment
3. Ability to challenge the classical and manual way of thinking by holding constructive dialogue with different stakeholders and gradually changing their mindset
4. A thinker that can solve complex problems by proposing different types of solutions that can add immediate and visible value
5. Very good understanding of Agile ways of working ensuring that the backlog is done in sprints combined with continuous demos to the relevant stakeholders
6. Practical experience of building CI/CD pipelines or embedding test automation into the pipelines
7. Conducts code reviews in line with coding and framework standards
8. Ability and willingness to roll their sleeves and get involved in coding, executing scripts, and reporting
9. Very good people management skills with the ability to create synergy among different team members.
10. Creates and maintains a positive atmosphere within the team

Other information:

1. Long term role – initially 6 months with a possibility for extension until end of the year
2. Starting date is immediately or beginning of January, but will wait for the right candidate
3. Candidate must be ready to travel to Dublin, Ireland - at least 2-3 days per week when required
4. Excellent rate on offer
