Cpl is delighted to be sponsoring FameLab 2019, the world’s leading science communication competition.
FameLab is a science communication and training competition run by the British Council and funded by Science Foundation Ireland, which encourages scientists to share science concepts in plain English with a live audience in just 3 minutes.
FameLab shares Cpl’s passion for all things STEM and encourages anyone who is passionate about science, engineering and maths to share their ideas. No complicated slides, only charisma and clarity.
Jennifer Navan, Cpl Associate Director, will be joining the judging panel on the 22nd of February for the Dublin regional heat. Joining Jennifer on the panel are Andrea Bandelli (Chief Exec, Science Gallery International) and Michael Devereux (Director & Dean of the College of Sciences and Health at DIT/TU.)
The overall FameLab final will take place at the Science Gallery Dublin on Thursday 11th April at 6 pm. The winner will then represent Ireland in the International finals in June 2019 along with finalists from over 30 other countries.
Proud supporters since 2013, Cpl are delighted to work with FameLab to inspire, motivate and develop the science and engineering community and to actively engage with the public.
FameLab has been running in Ireland for 6 years and boasts an amazing network of 60+ science communicators, each committed to sharing their work and knowledge with public audiences nationally and internationally.
