Accounts Assistant – Tuam – Onsite
My Tuam based client is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team full-time.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to fulfil a range of accounting activities in a busy manufacturing business environment.
This role is fully onsite with candidates needing to be a commutable distance to Tuam.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Creditors ledger maintenance
· Accurate processing and coding of invoices to relevant ledgers, ensuring correct cost centres and VAT codes are used.
· Reviewing supplier invoices and issuing for authorisation/approval
· Preparing invoices for weekly/monthly payment runs
· Accounts receivable invoice processing
· Sending out invoices and statements of account daily and ensuring timely receipt of payments.
· Recording daily receipts and preparing bank lodgements.
· Managing, reviewing, and posting of all cash and credit card transactions
· Assisting with VAT, RCT, VIES and Intrastat returns.
· Assisting with bank reconciliations.
· Other ad-hoc duties to ensure the finance department runs smoothly.
· Working closely with the Procurement and Customer services departments
REQUIREMENTS
· The successful applicant will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
· Having an Accounting Technician qualification is advantageous.
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment while not required would be an advantage
· Team player with an open personality that can fit with the company’s culture of integrity and respect for colleagues
· Ability to work under own initiative whilst also building relationships across various departments
· Excellent attention to detail
· Effective communications skills
· Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
