My client is looking to hire an accounts payable team lead. This role is with a multinational based in Cork. Reporting the Senior Finance Manger the AP Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring delivery by the team of specific operational targets in addition to the ongoing strategic development of the team and business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of a team of 10 direct reports, with responsibility for invoice processing, invoice discrepancy management and payments
- Ensure KPIs & SLA’s are met
- Act as first point of contact for escalations and timely resolution of same
- Focus on process efficiency, accuracy & stakeholder experience
- Collaboration with key stakeholders, both internal and external
· Ensure timely and accurate delivery of month end deliverables such as cash management and accruals
- Compliance with SOX requirements
- Support Internal and External Audits
- Assist with other activities as required ensuring the Global Business Service Centre meets its SLAs
· Ensure goals and objectives are in place for the team
- Maximise performance & career development through effective 1:1’s and team meetings
- Matching individual’s aspirations with the needs of the business
- Ensure Standard Operating Processes are well understood and adhered to
- Ensure key behaviors are managed consistently Itron Cultural Tenants are promoted
- Lead by example on meeting deadlines, responding timely to queries and escalations. Hold team members and other stakeholders accountable
- Lead team meetings in an open & collaborative way
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- In depth knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable processes
- Experience leading a team
- Good working knowledge of Oracle or similar integrated ERP
- Experience in fast paced multinational environment preferable, as will experience in a Shared Service Centre environment
