Category Buyer -14 month Contract
Hybrid – Dublin City Centre
Category Buyer position available in the IT & Group Services team, specifically in the area of Consulting, Marketing & HR services.
Key Responsibilities will include
- Conduct tenders predominately in excess of €300k
- Manage a suite of contracts and framework
- Support the Category Manager
- Research & understand the supply market for relevant categories
- Develop close working relationships with internal customers.
- Support / manage supplier relationship management interventions with key vendors
- Provide guidance and support to Stakeholders in relation to the Procurement process
The successful candidate will have
- Experience in a procurement, contract management or commercial role, or experience in managing complex administrative processes
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong level of commercial acumen
- Process orientated with an ability to apply a methodical approach to tasks
- Ability to influence stakeholders in order to achieve best value
- Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ideally Knowledge of SAP FMIS and SRM systems
- Please note that this is also potentially a good rotational opportunity for someone with a Finance, Commercial or Engineering background to gain some Procurement experience.
