Field Service Engineer
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional overtime and weekend work may be required due to the critical nature of the role).

Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in servicing, commissioning, and operating advanced water treatment equipment across Ireland and Europe. This position requires a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and a strong customer focus to ensure seamless operation and maintenance.
The equipment you will work with includes:
- Mechanical Vapor Compression Stills
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems
- Ultrafiltration
- Water Softening and Carbon Filtration Systems
- Distribution systems comprising pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and instrumentation.
Key Skills and Expertise
The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded technical background, with experience in areas such as:
- Marine Engineering: A strong foundation, offering hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Water Treatment/Purification Equipment: Knowledge of RO systems, steam systems, and filtration processes is critical.
- Mechanical Systems: Expertise with pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation is essential.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, minimising downtime for clients.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: Experience in start-up and commissioning within the pharma sector is highly beneficial.
- Automation: Skills in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, paired with an electrical qualification, would set the successful candidate apart.

Key Responsibilities
- Service and Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and operate installed equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
- Commissioning: Install and commission new equipment at client sites, including troubleshooting and testing systems.
- Customer Interaction: Represent the company professionally, maintaining open communication and prioritising customer needs.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed trip reports, complete necessary paperwork, and provide technical feedback for product improvement.
- Training and Feedback: Deliver technical training to clients and communicate their feedback for future product development.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideal Background:
- Marine engineering or similar technical discipline, providing a strong foundation for this role.
- Hands-on experience with water treatment/purification equipment, pumps, motors, steam systems, valves, and instrumentation.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Automation experience, particularly with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, along with an electrical qualification.
- Start-up and commissioning experience within the pharmaceutical sector is a strong advantage.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Marine, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related fields).
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to travel nationally and internationally.
