Our client a leading provider of precision equipment and medical devices used within Research across the world. Committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the needs and expectations of our customers while adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance is looking to hire an experienced Field Service Engineer.
An experienced Field Service Engineer is required to join the team covering the South of the UK with occasional travel to the North of England when needed, and visits to the our clients site in in Middlesex.
Preferably with knowledge of working with medical or lab-based equipment, to provide preventative maintenance, service, repairs and installation of our clients equipment and customer and distributor training on and off site.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel. The ability to organise your own diary is essential. All product training will be provided, however candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar engineering role.
Key Responsibilities
- Organising and undertaking Site Visits
- Fault Finding and Repair of Equipment
- Surveying and Installation for Systems
- Product Training for Customers/Distributors
- Routine Maintenance and Calibration of products.
- Responding to Customer Calls/Emails
- Product Training for Customers/Distributors in house and on site.
- Maintain all documentation relating to the Sales and Service activities, both computerised and otherwise.
Skills and Experience
- Engineering/Technical Background
- Experience of Fault Finding using reasoning and diagnostic skills
- Ideally experience of supporting Medical Devices (desirable)
- An understanding of IT infrastructure
- Strong Customer focus
- Excellent Spoken and Written English
- Full Clean UK/EU Driving Licence
- Based in the South-East area or willing to travel
- Flexible working location and hours
