Head of ESG Reporting
Company Background:
One of Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products, exporting to 100+ countries worldwide
The organization is structured across two divisions: Foods and Ingredients. It operates from multiple business units worldwide, including multiple production facilities, and has sales and marketing teams working in-market across the globe.
Role spec:
The Head of ESG is a critical leadership role responsible for driving sustainable practices within the manufacturing business. This individual will champion ESG initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Design and implement a thorough ESG strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
- Work with various departments to embed ESG practices into manufacturing operations.
- Track progress, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and report ESG metrics.
- Ensure clear reporting of ESG performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Work with senior management, operations, and supply chain teams to integrate ESG principles throughout the organization.
- Manage initiatives for waste reduction and energy efficiency.
- Apply sustainable practices in water usage, emissions management, and resource conservation.
- Investigate renewable energy solutions and eco-friendly technologies.
- Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the manufacturing team.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to build positive relationships.
- Lead a team of ESG professionals, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, Operational Excellence or related roles within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact.
