Client & Role Overview:
Our client is a globally renowned for their role in Scientific Instrument development, where they are manufactured in-house and designed by professionals in the electronics and mechanical design team. With the instruments being incorporated in the world’s largest scientific organizations, this is a great opportunity to join the team of leading scientists.
Within this role you will be working within the production team, where you will be responsible for assembling, testing and repairing parts to satisfy customer orders. The candidate will assemble the mechanical parts and products to a high standards, to a required specification on a production order or assembly drawing. This role requires key attention to detail, effective communication and team working with a broad range of mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications
- Completion of production orders on time and with high quality
- Troubleshoot product defects & complete appropriate documentation
- Use hand tools and perform soldering work as required
- Ad hoc tasks as required
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures, including maintenance of a clean and safe work area.
- Rework and repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering changes.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience
- Proficient communication, written and verbal skills
- Able to follow instructions
- Attention to detail
- Good IT Skills; MS Office
- Able to meet deadlines and be flexible
- Good numeracy skills
- Positive, flexible and enthusiastic team player
