Physiotherapists – Staff Grade – Wexford General Hospital

Physiotherapist, staff grade required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE. Vacancies exist in Wexford General Hospital, 6 months contract.

The Physiotherapy Service to the Wexford Local Health Area is managed by the Physiotherapy Manager 3, who has responsibility across Wexford General Hospital and Wexford Community Care physiotherapy services. The Physiotherapy Manager 1 manages all operational aspects of the Acute and PCCC physiotherapy services.

Purpose of post:

· To be responsible for the provision of a high quality Physiotherapy service in accordance with standards of professional practice

· To work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation

· To work with the Physiotherapy Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred physiotherapy service across and between networks in the geographical area

· To carry out clinical and educational duties as required

Requirements:

·      To participate in emergency / evening / weekend / bank holiday / on call / rotation schemes / services as required

·      All posts in Wexford General Hospital require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service. Therefore, the post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility as and when required.

·      Access to appropriate transport in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Candidates will be required to take up duty within 3 months of receipt of the formal offer of employment.

The Candidate:

·      A recognised qualification as a Physiotherapist with CORU registration

·      Experience in a similar setting desirable

·      Permission to work in Ireland.

·      Professional approach to work

·      Flexibility in work practice
