Flexsource are currently looking for experienced and qualified Service Technicians, for a full time, permanent position for our client based in Kilcullen, County Kildare.
Successful candidate will work in a busy workshop and undertake maintenance, service, and repair activities on vehicles of all types to the highest standard within the scheduled times and manufacturers specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintenance, service, and repair of all types on vehicles to the highest standard within the scheduled times and manufacturers specifications
· Advice and report (job card) on vehicle faults, servicing requirements noticed while working on a vehicle including future requirements
· Record all parts used during the course of repair
· Ensure all bodywork of the vehicle is thoroughly examined and condition reported
· Read, understand and implement technical bulletins
· Look for ways to identify future customer cost saving by recommending preventative maintenance
· Replace components, parts lubricants and consumables and also record usage
· Ensure parts of warranty claims are retained, cleaned and drained of oil where necessary
· Ensure exchange parts are returned to parts department when required
· Maintain a tidy, organised work area
· Liaise with the service department on all matters
· Liaise with parts department for replacement parts
· Advice, guide and train apprentice technicians
· To attend internal and external training courses
· Ensure a VHC check is carried out on all cars
· Provide excellent customer service standards
· Protect customers’ vehicles by using seat covers floor mats etc while the vehicle is in your care
· Drive customers’ vehicles in a safe considerate manner at all time
· Explain to customers’ as and when required the technical nature of the work required
· Ensure all work undertaken complies with manufacturers and dealership standards
Key Requirements:
· Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic qualification
· Previous experience in similar role
· Full, valid driver licence
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Good oral and written English
Hours of Work:
· Monday – Friday
· 08.30 – 17.30
Rates of Pay:
· €45.000 – €55.000 (DOE)
