Flexsource are currently looking for experienced and qualified Spray Painters / Panel Beaters, for a full time, permanent position for our client based in Kilcullen, County Kildare.
Successful candidate will be stripping and rebuilding damaged vehicles, paint/repair vehicles of all types to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
· Remove all previous paint coats and layers using appropriate chemicals and solvents
· Prepare surfaces for new paint application using manual and power sanding tools
· Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated
· Mixing of paints application of primer and paint (solvent and topcoat) surface polishing
· To paint/repair vehicles of all types to the highest standard within the scheduled times
· Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags, and unpainted areas
· Stripping and rebuilding damaged vehicles
· Maintain tools and keep equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
· Advise and report (job card) on vehicle faults, body work requirements noticed while working on a vehicle including future requirements using VHC
· Record all parts, paint, sundries etc used during the course of repair (job card) and insure all labour and parts are charged appropriately
· Ensure all bodywork of the vehicle is thoroughly examined and condition reported on the reverse of the job card and signed by inspecting technician
· Look for ways to identify future customer cost saving by recommending preventative maintenance
· Ensure that vehicles are presented to the customer fully repaired and in a clean condition
· To attend internal and external training courses
· Ensure a VHC check is carried out on all cars
· Provide excellent customer service standards
· Explain to customers’ as and when required the technical nature of the work required
Key Requirements:
· Professional qualifications
· Previous Bodyshop experience
· Spray painting experience
· Panel beating experience
· Full, valid driver licence
· Strong organisational and planning skills
· Good oral and written English
Hours of Work:
· Monday – Friday
· 08.30 – 17.30
Rates of Pay:
· €44.000 – €48.000 (DOE)
