One of Ireland's largest retailers is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and implement sustainability strategies for a well-established retail organization with over 35 stores across Ireland and listed as one of the Best Large Workplaces in Europe.

Location Dublin - Hybrid(3 days onsite)

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Skilled in navigating commercial and environmental challenges in retail.
- Deep understanding of sustainability impacts in retail, including supply chain ethics and social responsibility.
- Experienced in crafting and implementing sustainability strategies in a multi-site retail setting.
- Strong relationship-builder and influencer, inspiring teams to adopt sustainable practices.
- Champion of innovation and ethical practices, fostering a culture of sustainable retail.
- Proficient in stakeholder engagement, working closely with suppliers, customers, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Culture: Embed sustainability into our retail identity and operations.
- Goal Setting: Define and track sustainability goals aligned with our business and customer needs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with teams across categories, marketing, and operations to integrate sustainable practices.
- Process Innovation: Improve internal processes for sustainable retailing.
- Policy Management: Ensure compliance with sustainability policies and CSRD requirements.
- Communication: Lead internal and external communications to convey our sustainability initiatives.
- Training Leadership: Develop employee training for sustainability integration.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability management, including leadership roles.
- Proven success in ESG strategy development and implementation and CSRD requirements and materiality assessments.
- Strong project management, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
