Responsibilities
• Speaking English on a daily basis while working on client engagements in non-life or life (re)insurance across Europe
• Focusing on one project for an extended period of time rather than numerous shorter engagements in tandem
• A deeper understanding of and regular use of actuarial software (Prophet, CROS, SQL, SPSS, R, VBA, Tableau, etc)
• A special chance to deepen your understanding of the insurance industry with a focus on crucial actuarial procedures and methods through involvement in regional and global projects
• Opportunities for ongoing training and career development while receiving instruction from a broad spectrum of top experts
Requirements
•A university degree in economics, mathematics, quantitative finance, or a closely related discipline
•3 years of technological expertise and commercial knowledge (or no experience needed for graduates and undergraduates)
•Strong English communication abilities, both verbally and in writing
•Analytical thinking, the capacity to tackle difficult puzzles, and creativity
•Team player with a versatile working approach
•Availability for engagements across Europe after COVID (Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic)
•Skills that are nice to have:
• Knowledge of at least one of IFRS 4, IFRS 17, Solvency II, or the pricing of either life or non-life insurance (a similar position for undergraduate students or graduates is also available)
• Basic knowledge of German
• Outstanding Excel programming abilities (VBA, C++, R)
Brutto’s base salary will depend on the working experience, professional qualification and skills of the candidate. The advertised amount is the minimum salary offered for this role and does not include bonuses, benefits, or a variable part of the salary.
