Administrator
Our client, an educational Institution is looking to hire an Administrator on a full-time temporary contract for four months.
The main purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to the Clinical Research and Development Office to facilitate the workings of the Clinical Research and Development Office and support services to the clinical research community. The post holder will work in partnership with the other CRDO staff to facilitate the workings of the Clinical Research and Development Office. They are required to work as part of a team but must also show a high level of initiative and an ability to make considered decisions and respond to issues as they arise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a highly professional approach to customer service. The post calls for a candidate who has a wide range of skills and experience in office management, management of database systems and university online systems.
Essential skills required:
· Level 6 qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
· Minimum of three years of experience in a similar, complex administrative role, ideally in a university setting
· An ability to deal with staff confidently, and confidentially, at all levels within the University
· Initiative and ability to problem solve
· Flexibility and ability to multitask
· Good interpersonal skills
· Adaptability and openness to change
· Ability to work in a diverse environment
· Excellent MS Office Skills
· Experience of managing large databases to ensure timelines are met and minestrones adhered to.
· Experience in accounting procedures, using financial management systems (e.g. Agresso)
· Prior experience of working with procurement procedures and processes
It would be desirable that post holder would have:
· Knowledge of clinical research environment
· A recognised administrative or project management qualification
· Experience of working within the academic environment
3 Main Responsibilities
•Supporting the activities of the Director of Clinical Research, Head of Clinical R&D Quality and Regulatory Affairs, R&D Officer, Finance Officer and Clinical Trial Monitor/Auditor.
•Maintaining the administrative facility of the Clinical Research and Development Office, including management of the Study Registration Process, gathering reports and following up on outstanding items.
•Meeting and conference organization, control scheduling of CRDO meetings and symposia
•Assisting with the clinical research study contract submission process, tracking documents on Galway University Hospitals contract submission list
•Designing and implementing procedures and systems to monitor and track, and providing reports on activities of the CRDO
