Our clients based in north-west Cork, on the Limerick border, are seeking an Assistant Manager to join their team.

The Role:
As Assistant Manager you will Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provide customers with the absolute best customer service experience and fresh food offering in a clean and safe environment.
You will deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.
The ideal candidate will support the Store Manager and take full responsibility for the store in Store Manager’s absence.
Responsibilities to include:
Actively live brand-values i.e., Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager
Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard
Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork and fosters a positive attitude and atmosphere in the workplace
Ability to develop and promote excellent communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
Always deliver excellence in customer service, making the customer’s journey as positive and memorable as possible. Ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority and consistently deliver and exceptional service by displaying I-CARE service excellence behaviours
Support the Store Manager in the efficient day-to-day running of the store, and in all areas of the business
Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition, and encouragement.
Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and Group Management.
Complete all tasks to the best of your ability and to the highest standard.
Perform any other duties or assume other responsibilities that may be assigned to the role.
Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
Skills & Experience that we need:
· 2 years’ experience in a relevant position is desirable
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
· Experience balancing cash/tills
· Excellent communication skills
· Good delegation skills
· Highly driven with a strong work ethic
· An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
· Commerciality and brand awareness
· Passion for grocery retail
The Offer:
This role is being offered on a permanent basis with expected salary to in the range of €35K-€37K per annum, depending on the candidate’s experience.
