Flexsource are currently recruiting for a Bodyshop Manager for our Client based in Kildare. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the body-shop and ensure excellent service to its customers.
Key responsibilities
· Successfully manage all aspects of the body shop department’s operations of the dealership to achieve agreed customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability targets.
· To be involved in marketing and promotion campaigns for the body shop, in consultation with the Marketing Manager and Aftersales Manager.
· Manage and successfully resolve all customer complaints relating to the body shop and record same.
· Provide all customers with the highest level of customer service that will achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
· Ensure all personnel understand and are committed to common goal – complete customer satisfaction.
Internal processes
· Ensure that Retail Standards are complied with by the body shop on an ongoing basis.
· Ensure workshop loading and job cards are fully written up on every job.
· Quality process to be completed on every job.
· Estimates: Prepare detailed work orders, with vehicle data, diagnosis, detailed description of faults, accurate estimates based on allowed time to complete etc, for both internal and external customers. To provide customers with estimates of the cost of repairing vehicles and working with Insurance companies regarding customer claims
· Manage tooling and equipment levels within the workshop and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and certified and meets the garages requirements.
· Work with the Aftersales, Parts and Sales Managers to ensure co-ordination and co-operation between the different departments to achieve dealership objectives and maximize customer service.
· To organize and check product recalls, warranty, and goodwill handling in accordance with the garage’s guidelines and customer orientation practices.
· Ensure the proper handling and storage of waste products and materials in accordance with waste-disposal regulations.
· Monitor adherence to environmental protection and waste-disposal regulations.
· Organize and monitor cleanliness in the body shop.
· To ensure compliance with regulations governing safety at work and accident prevention.
· Maintain a professional relationship with all other departmental managers.
· Ensure customer database is kept up to date and cleansed regularly.
· Liaise with warranty administrator on claim submissions, rejections, and resubmissions.
· Maintain a control system for which courtesy vehicles are used.
· Review KPIs relating to body shop.
Financial
· Manage all activity levels within the body shop and ensure the effective utilization of all resources.
· To assist with development of performance-related bonus systems in the body shop to support the achievement of efficiency and profitability targets.
· Manage the invoicing process within the body shop and ensure that pricing guidelines are clearly understood and implemented by staff.
· Continuously monitor the performance of the body shop against these budget
· Establish control systems for the body shop and ensure their implementation to monitor continuously all factors affecting the achievement of agreed objectives and targets.
· To maximize department profitability through the sale of labor, parts, accessories and subcontracted service.
· Ensure at every opportunity that both financial and non-financial targets and objectives for body shop are met.
· Examine monthly all sales ledger accounts related to body shop and ensure outstanding debts are being collected.
· Maintain day to day control of the departmental costs.
Learning and development
· Motivate body shop personnel on an ongoing basis.
· Carry out regular internal discussions with employees.
· Promote the training of body shop personnel including scheduling dates and measures.
· Develop all members of staff to achieve the highest level of performance.
· Assist in recruitment and training of aftersales staff.
