Financial Commercial Lead
(IT CAPEX , OPEX, budgeting, compliance)
The company provides IT services and support to the wider business.
The IT Value and Performance team is responsible for the governance and financial management of IT activities, including IT budget forecasting and reporting, supplier performance management, procurement optimisation and the management of IT risk, audit and compliance activities.
Reporting to the IT Financial Performance Manager, the IT Commercial Lead will support monitoring, analysing, and reporting on the overall financial performance of the companies IT against Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets, Operational Expenditure (OPEX) budgets and Regulatory funding allowances.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification in Finance, Commerce or Economics and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in utilities or similar industries is desirable
- Demonstrated financial experience in the development and management of budgets and associated monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in the management of regulatory allowances and associated reporting desirable.
- Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
- Experience providing coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others
- Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
- Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
- Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
