About The Role:
Our client, a leading utilities organisation, is seeking a Disaster Recovery Lead to join their growing Infrastructure Team. This role can be based in either their Cork OR Dublin offices on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Operational Infrastructure Manager, the role will be responsible for effectively responding to cyber incidents and safeguarding digital assets and reputation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the cyber response team during security breaches and incidents
- Oversee the technical investigation of cyber security incidents to identify root cause and impact
- Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies
- Build strong relationships with IT colleagues with the aim of optimising cooperation and maximising efficiencies across the wider IT organisation
- Evaluate, implement and manage cybersecurity tools used for incident detection, response and prevention
- Complete detailed incident reports to relevant stakeholders
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the team’s cyber response capabilities
- Keep up to date on IT issues and developments so that leading practices can be applied
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience in all or some of IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, IT Application management, Process Improvement, Documentation and Documentation Management is desirable.
- Involvement in IT DR planning and testing covering a variety of disaster scenarios including natural disasters, major conflict, ransomware and other security threats is desirable.
- Involvement in the analysis, design and implementation of systems including Infrastructure or Applications or both, is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-team initiatives.
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
- Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
- Experience providing coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others
- Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
- Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
- Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
