Global Category Leader- Software Sourcing
Hybrid with 3 to 4 days in office in Dublin
Currently searching for an IT Category Leader for Software to be part of their global IT category team. This person will work closely with cross functional teams and key stakeholders to drive effective sourcing strategy to deliver the best outcome. Key responsibilities will include execution of the category management strategies, conducting commercial negotiations, contract and supply risk management. Successful candidate will be required to have the necessary experience, category knowledge, skills and capabilities to deliver on strategic objectives.
1. Sourcing & Negotiation
· Lead sourcing activities, including RFP/RFI processes, to secure competitive pricing, favorable contract terms. (example: S4HANA migration project, engineering tools implementations, datahub implementation …).
· Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal, risk, and procurement policies. (example: TCS, HCL, Accenture)
2. Full support of the category strategy execution:
· Support in implementing category strategies for IT services, aligning with organizational objectives and ensuring alignment with key stakeholders.
· Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier developments relevant to IT services.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
· Partner with internal stakeholders (IT, finance, legal, etc.) to define service requirements, set strategic goals, and ensure alignment with procurement objectives.
· Act as a trusted advisor on category insights and market dynamics, providing recommendations on supplier selection, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
4. Risk Management & Compliance
· Support and mitigate risks within the IT services supply chain, including vendor dependencies, cybersecurity, and compliance.
· Ensure that all procurement activities align with corporate compliance, risk management, and regulatory standards. (example: use Internal Tools)
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
· Monitor and report on category KPIs and project milestones.
· List of potential projects/contracts negotiations to support: SAP migration, AV solutions installation and support, NIST audit service, PC refresh, Workday implementation…
Capabilities:
Must have: 10+ experience as a Senior Category Manager or Strategic Sourcing
