We are partnering with a biotechnology company specialising in microbiome research, utilising a world-leading microbiome profiling platform. They are seeking an experienced Head of Bioinformatics to lead a dynamic team and provide strategic direction in microbiome bioinformatics. This key role involves managing advanced informatics infrastructure, driving innovation, and enhancing the company’s microbiome profiling and machine learning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead bioinformatics strategy and team, ensuring cutting-edge capabilities in microbiome analysis.

• Oversee omics dataset analysis, including clinical trials.

• Expand functional analytics and transcriptomics capabilities.

• Manage cloud computing infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance (GDPR, GCLP).

• Represent the company externally to maintain leadership in bioinformatics.

Ideal Candidate:

• Expertise in bioinformatics, genomics, microbiome analysis, and cloud technologies (AWS).

• Experience with large-scale genomic/omics data and bioinformatics pipeline development.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of biostatistics, biomarker discovery, and regulatory frameworks.
