Well known Community Services are looking for Paediatric Community nurses to care for a 6 month old baby boy residing in the Kells area (in a housing development on the outskirts of the town – must drive) in Co. Meath. This child is currently at home with his parents after being in hospital since his birth in February of this year.
Nurses must demonstrate that they have the desired competencies to care for this baby. The nursing needs for this child are as follows:
1. Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
2. Competent in caring for a child on non-invasive ventilation
3. Caring for a child on continuous oxygen via nasal prongs
4. Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
5. Medication Management
This package consists of nursing (RCN/RGN/RNID) for 5 x 8 hour nights (midweek), total of 40 hours per week. We require nursing staff who have experience in caring for a baby who requires full nursing care, caring for a baby on enteral feeding, caring for a baby on continuous oxygen and on CPAP.
