Project Manager, HR Operations
To lead the design and implementation of Time and Absence modules into Workday across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR project management, extensive experience with Workday, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex HR system implementations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR and key Stakeholders on projects that support business and functional strategic objectives (project types include, but not limited to, People, Process and/or Technology).
- Develop project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet business needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying strategic areas of opportunity to improve operational efficiency, customer experience or cost.
- Create processes, tools and templates for the identification, execution, and successful handoff of projects within the HR function.
- Provide regular project updates through a close working relationship with HR Operations and stakeholders.
- Skillful delivery with an eye to strong change management for various personas, including employees, contingent workers, people managers, etc.
- Coordinate the elements and document the progress of day-to-day project implementation through our standard processes and corresponding project plan. Provide regular implementation status updates to management.
- Follow and apply the established methodologies and standards for project management and problem-solving techniques.
- Support activities relating to HR Systems (i.e., HCMs, Workday, Oracle, Beeline, etc.) upgrades and new implementations, to include data gathering, input, testing, trainings, customer validation, and other support as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll and IT, and other departments to support the gathering of requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Support the design, configuration, and testing of Time and Absence modules in Workday.
- Work closely with Workday/Implementation consultants and vendors to ensure best practices and optimal solutions are implemented.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related discipline required.
- 10+ years relevant experience with 5+ years of experience in a Project Management role preferred
- Prior experience in applying these techniques within an HR function is highly preferred.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) Required.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Visio
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
