We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
We are looking for a Quality Engineer II to join our team who is responsible for providing Web and consumer electronics users with the best music experience. You will have a huge impact on the quality of a growing suite of products and services, acting as a quality engineering champion. You will be involved in all testing activities throughout the SDLC cycle.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable, and work with peers to help develop manual test strategies against them;
- Create and execute test cases to verify new and existing software functionality;
- Test applications via Black Box, Regression, Release, Stress, and Negative testing methods;
- Identify issues/bugs and report to developers and product owners;
- Demonstrate ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologies;
- Validate fixes and new features;
- Collaborate with other QE engineers on major initiatives and feature testing;
- Contribute to the enforcement of quality engineering processes and procedures based on best practice methodology;
- Work with senior members of the team to provide status updates for all QE/TPM/Dev resources during the testing cycle;
- Seeks opportunity to learn the backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and new testing and technology trends that will impact testing of upcoming releases.
- Working hours: the client would like to overlap with QE in the US, so working hours in Ireland will be from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent preferred OR 2-4 years of experience in a Quality Engineering or a similar customer-centric technical field;
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Detail-oriented and well-organized;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to seek support from senior members of the team when needed;
- Commitment to both internal and external client quality and customer advocacy;
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
Technical skills:
- Experience with test case management tools such as Testrail, Xray, etc.
- Ability to utilize proxying tools like Charles Proxy to supplement testing and debug;
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks, including Github, Xcode, and various IDEs;
- Professional experience working with: AWS, Selenium.
