Great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of Irelands leading construction companies. Their developments include residential, commercial, retail, industrial and student accommodation.
Objective
To monitor and review subcontractor and material pricing against budgets and to assist in the approval and payment of same. Ensure all works are being completed as per the agreed packages on projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist in the preparation of initial budgets and cost plans.
· Prepare an analysis and comparison of quotations received.
· Receive and manage subcontractor invoices and prepare for payment
· Maintain files on all projects to include the contract, all correspondence, changes, amendments, clarifications and payment schedules
· Complete sub-contractor documentation in accordance with company procedures and liaise with other departments on same.
· Monitor works packages against budgets, assessing variation claims and preparing progress reports.
· Participate in project meeting to ensure that all commercial and contract procedures are properly implemented.
· Provide forecast pricing information for annual budgets and business plans.
· Ensure prompt response and resolution of all queries received from senior management.
· Other ad hoc advising and reporting requirements that may arise.
