Senior Radiographer required for permanent position, Galway
Located in a modern state of the art equipped radiology department, this is an excellent opportunity to work with Ireland’s leading independent hospital groups in Galway.
As a Senior Radiographer you will be responsible for performing a high quality, patient-focused general radiography, imaging and specialised radiography - CT/MRI, fluoroscopy and theatre
Responsibilities:
· As a Senior Radiographer, you will take the lead in the provision of radiography services, rotating through all areas of radiology, whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of an integrated patient-centred service.
· To take part in on-call service as required.
· Lead in the establishment and maintenance of standards for quality improvement and ensure adherence to existing standards and policies.
· Contribute to the planning and development of the service and participate in service improvements.
The Candidate:
· Hold a recognised qualification as a Radiographer with CORU registration or be eligible for same
· A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a broad range of examinations (General radiology and CT are a basic requirement).
· Demonstrate experience of working with a team of Radiographers.
· Have proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Evidence of continuing professional development.
· Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative.
· Flexibility in role and take on additional duties as required.
