We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.
What you’ll do:
• Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
• Assist in the development manual and automated test cases.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project.
• Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
• Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
What you’ll need:
• BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
• 2-5 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in Android application testing on hardware.
• Experience in testing of HMI of infotainment systems is a plus.
• Application of software development life cycle concept.
• Experience in software development and test automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus.
• Experience with Git is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Tester's Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work.
• Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
