Speech & Language Therapy - Senior, staff grade and assistant

Senior, staff grade and assistant Speech & Language Therapists required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE and private hospitals. These roles are located in Wicklow, Kildare, Dublin and Meath. These roles are flexible in terms of hours and days, duration differs per role.

Job Responsibilities:

·      Be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment/intervention programs for service users according to professional standards.

·      Arrange and carry out assessment and treatment/intervention programs in appropriate settings in line with local policy/guidelines and professional standards

·      Document all assessments, diagnoses, treatment/intervention plans, clinical notes, relevant contacts, and summaries in accordance with department and professional standards 

·      Provide support and information in relation to communication and/or feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders, etc. to service users and relevant others  

·      Seek advice and assistance from the Speech and Language Therapist Manager with any assigned cases or issues that prove to be beyond the scope of his / her professional competence in line with principles of best practice and clinical governance

·      Operate within the scope of Speech & Language Therapy practice as set out by the Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists

The Candidate:

·      A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy with CORU registration

·      3 years post graduate experience

·      Experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential

·      Permission to work in Ireland

·      Professional approach to work

·      Flexibility in work practice

·      Full Driving Licence and own transport required for some roles.

·      Assistant : Must have completed dietetics course and passed final year, the CORU registration process has begun.

·      Staff Grade: Must hold CORU registration.

·      Senior: Minimum three years’ experience working in a staff grade role.
