My client a commercial semi-state body have an immediate vacancy for a Tax Analyst in a newly created role.
Hybrid working- Dublin 2, 3 days in the office.
The role reports to the Tax manager and would be an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified tax accountant to take up a challenging position supporting the tax function and managing the tax process of this recently established agency.
Key tasks:
· Ensure accurate and timely preparation, completion and filing of indirect and direct tax returns.
· Provide input/suggestions on process/system efficiencies that might be adopted to improve the processes.
· Assist in ensuring adherence to tax governance frameworks and policies.
· Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and implement efficiencies.
· Responsible for continuous improvement in the efficiency of data gathering.
· Liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance with local tax legislation.
· Provide tax advisory support to various business units within the company
Ideal profile:
• Holds a degree in Business, Finance or Accountancy related subject.
• CTA qualification or exams in progress is an advantage.
• Proven experience in a tax role within industry or practice.
• Strong understanding of indirect and direct tax processes
