Technical Support Specialist – Co. Mayo/Hybrid
Our client, one of Europe’s leading innovators in Retail & Hospitality Technology, is currently looking for a talented Technical Support Specialist to join their team and provide technical support for clients across the UK & Ireland.
This is an entry level role in IT providing 1st Line support across a variety of technical issues with full training provided. Due to the customer facing nature of the role, strong communication skills are essential
The Role:
· Provide Technical Support and user training on Retail and Hospitality IT Systems to client companies across the UK & Ireland via phone and email
· Identify priority issues and work with support and R&D teams to troubleshoot or escalate as necessary
· Deliver frequent updates to clients on ongoing issues managing a balance of new cases with open, ongoing cases
· Accurately process and record call transactions using a computer and designated CRM software
· Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining customers’ and clients’ business
· Organize ideas and communicate effectively within team and department as well as with external stakeholders
· Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary
The Ideal Candidate:
· Interest in computer hardware and software, and a willingness to learn
· Proven track record in Customer/Technical support
· Experience in Retail/Hospitality IT Systems or EPoS an advantage but not essential
· 3rd level IT level 6 or above qualification preferable
· Must be customer focused with good verbal communication skills
