BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
My client, a rapidly growing company supplying industry-leading software solutions to the UK social care sector, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager. As part of their dynamic sales team, the successful person will play a critical role in driving new business and expanding their market reach.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and develop new business opportunities through inbound and self-sourced leads, leveraging your professional network.
· Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges and position our software as the ideal solution.
· Conduct thorough prospect research to understand business needs, pain points, and potential fit with our solutions.
· Build strong relationships with prospects through effective communication, active listening, and tailored sales strategies.
· Conduct compelling product demonstrations, showcasing key benefits and ROI to decision-makers at all levels.
· Navigate complex sales cycles, selling through internal champions and engaging multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives.
· Accurately manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline using our CRM system (HubSpot or similar).
· Work closely with internal teams, including customer success and product teams, to ensure a seamless customer journey.
· Represent the company at national/international trade events and customer meetings when required.
· Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
· Continuously refine sales strategies based on market trends, customer feedback, and new product offerings.
· Promote our company and solutions within your professional network to drive business opportunities.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in B2B software sales, ideally within social care, healthcare, or related sectors.
· Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
· Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and present tailored solutions.
· Ability to sell to multiple stakeholders, from frontline managers to C-level executives.
· Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and strong data management skills.
· Competitive, goal-driven mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Industry knowledge or an understanding of the social care sector is an advantage but not required.
· Flexibility to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.
