About the Role
Are you a safety professional with expertise in LOTOTO (Lockout/Tagout/Tryout) procedures? Do you thrive in fast-paced industrial environments, ensuring compliance and championing safety? We are looking for an EHS LOTOTO Specialist to take ownership of LOTOTO processes across multiple projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and best practices are upheld throughout the commissioning phase.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on involvement, influencing safety culture, and driving compliance in a highly regulated industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
β LOTOTO Compliance & Safety
- Develop, maintain, and enforce LOTOTO safety procedures.
- Monitor adherence to safety regulations and ensure legislative updates are implemented.
- Provide expert guidance on LOTOTO activities, ensuring proper insulation procedures are followed.
β Audits & Risk Management
- Conduct safety walk-downs, audits, and risk assessments.
- Oversee permit-to-work (PTW) processes, ensuring strict compliance.
- Identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and maintain audit documentation.
β Training & Communication
- Deliver safety training sessions to employees and contractors.
- Ensure clear communication between teams regarding hazardous commissioning activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture through incentives, engagement, and regular communication.
β Incident Reporting & Prevention
- Investigate and document any safety incidents, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety protocols.
- Ensure automation teams adhere to PTW systems and safety guidelines.
Who You Are
πΉ EHS Expert β At least 5 years of experience in EHS roles within chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial production environments.
πΉ LOTOTO Specialist β Hands-on experience with LOTOTO procedures and mechanical system isolations.
πΉ Regulatory Knowledge β Strong understanding of Swiss EHS standards and industry safety regulations.
πΉ Technical Proficiency β Comfortable reading P&IDs and optimizing process flows.
πΉ Strong Communicator β Able to train, influence, and enforce safety policies effectively.
Requirements
π Education: Technical degree or higher in mechanical, industrial, or safety engineering.
π Certifications: Professional EHS accreditation (e.g., SUVA certificate) preferred.
π£οΈ Languages: English business fluent and German (B2 minimum) required.
