Cpl are working with a client in the Construction Sector who are currently looking to hire a Financial Controller to join the team!

Full job description

Responsibilities:

·        Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic development of the finance function

·        Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review

·        Maintain and control check and balances on various nominal ledger account in line with month end preparation

·        Full responsibility for the oversight of Group payroll, Supplier and Subcontractor functions

·        Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth and efficiency. Managing a team of 4 accounts staff.

·        Review and authorise payment files on the online banking platforms.

·        Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across areas such as VAT, Tax and other regulatory obligation in multi jurisdictions.

·        Preparing annual budgets, short term and long term cashflows • Engaging with the commercial department to ensure accuracy of various rates in use for estimating on projects.

·        Preparation of information for external auditors for the annual audit • Interfacing with 3rd party organisations such as external auditors, tax advisers, Global payroll advisers as required.

·        Align financial strategies with long-term business objectives, enhance financial systems, and streamline processes to improve reporting and efficiency.

·        Drive the Finance department KPIs and monthly reporting

Ideal Candidate:

·        ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified min 3yrs

·        5+ years’ experience in a similar role

·        Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities

·        Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware, with high levels of integrity and a focus on continuous improvement

·        Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

·        Experience in a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional setting an advantage.

·        Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills

·        Excellent IT skills - must have a high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

·        Excellent organisational skills

·        Strong team player
