Fund Accountant, Manager - Private Equity
Location - Spain
An exciting opportunity for a Fund Accounting Supervisor/AVP/Manager to relocate to Spain. Our client, a fund administration company specialising in accounting and administration services for hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment funds, is looking for an experienced and ambitious professional to fill a Manager position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships.
- Provide technical accounting and industry knowledge to clients.
- Review and approve NAV prepared by fund accountants.
- Review and monitor capital activity, including capital calls and distributions, as well as the general ledger, cash activity and cash reconciliations.
- Review the calculation of the distribution waterfall and financial statements.
- Manage year-end audits and tax reporting with clients and independent auditors.
- Effectively manage staff time and workload to meet deadlines.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor, develop, and train junior staff, including conducting performance reviews.
About you:
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance related field (preferred)
- ACCA qualified preferable but not essential
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Fund Administration role, 1-2 years working in Private Equity, and at least 1-2 at Supervisory level.
- Experience in working on a Private Equity accounting system.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in the English language
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
