Job Title: Global Procurement Specialist

Job Description:
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical business in Cork, looking for an experienced global procurement specialist to join their growing team. In this role you will work closely with the procurement team on sourcing raw materials.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement global purchasing strategies aligned with quality, safety, and cost objectives.
· Support and manage indirect procurement activities, including engineering, capital, and consumables, by collaborating with relevant teams on negotiations and contract implementation.
· Identify and manage risks with mitigation plans while maintaining an updated risk register.
· Establish a robust supply chain for new products while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
· Continuously evaluate supplier performance through audits and implement improvement plans as needed.
· Facilitate cross-functional initiatives to enhance performance and drive cost reductions.
· Identify opportunities for contract improvement and lead renegotiations as necessary
Education/Experience/Skills Required:
· Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent purchasing qualification
· Have at least 5 years’ experience in supply chain role
· Good Communication skills & Negotiation Skills
· Project management, financial basics, business savvy, Strategic insight
· Industry experience in food/pharma/manufacturing
