The Indirect Tax Manager who will be a key member of the European Tax Team. The Indirect Tax Manager will be responsible for managing Indirect Tax Compliance in Europe as well as providing advice to business and assisting with internal and external tax audits and will report to the European Head of Tax.
The Indirect Tax Manager is a key part of the European Tax Management team will liaise with stakeholders and external tax advisors to ensure all Indirect Tax compliance and consultancy risks are adequately addressed.
Key Responsibilities
The role encompasses compliance, consultancy and the active management of audits in different European countries.
· Managing a number of Indirect Tax Accountants
· Reviewing indirect tax computations and draft returns prepared by the Indirect Tax Accountants on the team and working with external tax advisors to ensure returns are submitted on a timely and accurate basis.
· Assisting with the management of internal and external Indirect Tax focused audits
· Providing proactive Indirect Tax advice to various stakeholders leveraging off specialist external tax advice.
· Reviewing Indirect Tax developments including legislative changes and working with External tax advisors to ensure the company remains compliance from an Indirect Tax perspective.
Key Experience & Skills
· Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or similar) and Chartered Tax Advisor (or similar).
· Prior tax experience managing Indirect Tax compliance in industry including reconciliation of VAT accounts and working with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or Workday for Finance.
· Experience of managing staff.
· Ability to manage competing compliance, consulting and Indirect Tax related projects.
· Keen to develop new ways of working, reduce complexity and enhance efficiency.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Strong excel, word, and power point skills.
