About the Role
As a Junior Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the commercial team, senior management, and production teams. This position involves estimating material and labour requirements, liaising with contractors and clients, and contributing to the smooth execution of modular construction projects.
You’ll also assist in identifying opportunities, preparing bids, and ensuring timely issuance of payment applications, vesting certificates, and invoices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the commercial team to make informed decisions for successful bids, payment applications, and invoicing.
- Estimating material and labour requirements for snagging projects and coordinating contractor appointments.
- Acting as the interface for clients, including contractors and main contractors.
- Reviewing project data, including analysis reports, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
- Collaborating with internal teams (Design, Production, Procurement, and Technical) to identify and implement solutions.
- Identifying bid opportunities, attending site visits, and participating in pre-bid and progress meetings.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Experience and Skills:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Proven experience in a Junior Estimator or similar role, ideally in manufacturing or construction.
- Basic knowledge of building and construction; knowledge of off-site manufacturing/construction is a bonus.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication abilities.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Work Schedule
The role operates on a single shift basis:
- Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
