As a Maintenance Fitter you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery at our client’s site, you will use an Asset Management System (Maximo) you'll carry out routine maintenance and repairs within and outside our facility.
Your role is vital to the efficiency, development, and progress of the manufacturing site. Working with other professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.
Requirements:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preforms all the maintenance repairs, rebuilds, etc. on the machines and infrastructure.
• The maintenance fitter will have to maintain all the equipment and machinery that is in the manufacturing facility of the company.
• Regular checks for the maintenance of the machines and repair the part that need to be replaced.
• Attend calls for repair.
• Keep maintenance reports and make records for all the repair work conducted on the machinery.
• Develop the existing machinery to work efficiently.
• Carefully maintain inventory for the tools and place orders for new ones when they are required.
Educational Qualification
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Trade qualified fitter recognised. .
· Experience in the field expanding up to at least four years within maintenance in an manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of Maximo – Asset Management system or equivalent would be an advantage. This is not a requirement as full training will be available on site.
