CPL Recruitment are delighted to assist our client , A long-established global manufacturer , to hire a  Maintenance Fitter to join their Maintenance team. The company has over 60 years' experience providing precision-engineered products in industrial applications. This is a permanent role across Monday to Friday.

Do you meet the following.

•       Time-served mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.

•       Mechanical and Electrical fault-finding experience

•       3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

•       Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of root cause identification.

•       Strong communication and teamwork skills.

•       Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

•       Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What will you be doing?

·       Support manufacturing operations to achieve Safety, Quality, and throughput objectives in a 24/7 operation.

·       Support project engineering teams during the introduction of new products and equipment.

·       Provide support for the introduction of new products and processes in manufacturing operations. Core work involved would be re-building of a range of machines, these would Include both Grinding, Brazing and auxiliary machine

·       Developing PM,s for all plant and machinery and implementing Schedule.

·       Sustaining/maintenance role covering both re-active and basic PM across all machines .

·       Developing SOPs for future training- Picture Driven step by step procedures.

·       Conducting Risk assessments on machines and prioritising updates/repairs in this order.

·       Ensuring parts/spares are available to support re-builds

·       Scheduling rebuilds 

·       Undertaking machine assessments as required and continually updating records and monitoring machine condition.

·       Working with machine suppliers to ensure spares/replacement part availability and optimising costs

·       An ability to read both mechanical and electrical schematics would be highly regarded.
