The Maintenance Team Lead oversees maintenance and repair activities across water/wastewater assets in a designated area. Responsibilities include leading a team to ensure the provision of MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, and Automation) services, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational standards. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including SCADA, PLC, and other control systems. Budget management, material consumption, and team performance are key elements. Out-of-hours work is required, with standby rates.
Main Duties:
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, and ICA maintenance/repair activities.
- Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Manage maintenance schedules and work orders.
- Oversee new or upgraded asset tasks and ensure team competency.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and manage third-party contractors.
- Support emergency responses and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Relevant QQI Level 6 certification in a related craft.
- 3+ years of experience in Water Services or Utilities.
- Strong leadership, budget management, and IT skills.
- Experience in health and safety compliance.
- Full Irish driving license required.
