About the Mental Health Team
The Tasmanian Government Health Services provide comprehensive healthcare across Tasmania. The Mental Health Services team offers direct support to individuals, carers, and families affected by severe mental health issues. Join as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, working with adults and/or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health care.
About the Role
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Salary: $70,000 to $123,013 per annum + 11% superannuation * DOE

Role Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive clinical services, including assessment, case management, and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with team members and external agencies to enhance service delivery and continuity of care.
- Actively participate in quality assurance processes and ongoing professional development.
We’re looking for Occupational Therapists with mental health experience to work in a variety of health settings, i.e. acute adult inpatient units and child and youth services.

What You Need to Work in Tasmania
- To work as an Occupational Therapist in Tasmania's mental health sector, individuals must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant experience in mental health, along with skills in assessment, intervention, and case management, is essential.
