Premises Officer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Premises Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £15.97 per/hr
· Location – DfC - HED Heritage Records and Designation Branch
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37 hours per week
This is a temporary EO1 premises manager post within DfC -Historic Environment Division. The post holder will be responsible for the effective management and maintenance of assigned premises, in Ballymena and Belfast, reporting to the Senior staff within the branch.
Responsibilities will include:
· Schedule and oversee regular maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, maintenance, and servicing of building systems.
· Collaborate with contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of maintenance projects and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
· Monitor and enforce compliance with H&S policies and emergency procedures.
· Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
· Implement security protocols to safeguard premises, including access control systems and surveillance measures and respond to security incidents.
· Coordinate with out of hours security providers to maintain a secure environment.
· Work with HERoNI staff, contractors, consultants and third parties to optimise and assist in planning and executing HERoNI office relocations or rearrangements as required.
· Assist in budget management for maintenance and premises-related expenses, monitoring and identify cost-saving opportunities, while maintaining quality standards
The post holder may also be required to:
· Facilitate access to their assigned premises for researchers, visitors and staff as approved by line management.
· Retrieve archival material and equipment between HERoNI permanent and leased premises.
· Undertake other general tasks associated with the relocation of HERoNI premises, as required by the business area.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
· A full driving licence, valid for Northern Ireland, and access to a form of transport that will enable them to carry out the duties of the post in full.
· Proven experience in premises management or a related field.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
A degree or relevant certification in facilities management, property management, or a related field is preferred.
