Procurement Specialist - Mullingar (or other agreed location)
Role:
The Category Specialist is responsible for the deployment of best practice solutions to meet the operational procurement goals of the Professional Services and Operations categories. Join the team with this highly progressive Utilities company.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Management
• Manage the procurement process for the Professional Services & Operations categories, to include; definition of user requirements, category profiling, sourcing strategy development, tender management and contract setup.
• Work with business areas to ensure tender requirements are agreed, and contracts are in place when needed.
• Responsible for the advertisement, delivery and award of tenders in line with business requirements and relevant procurement regulations.
• Support the development of robust procurement strategies for the assigned categories and assist in the execution of annual implementation plans.
• Identify and deliver value for money, through implementation of cost savings and continuous improvement programmes from category strategies.
• Reporting & analysis of tender activities, as well as supplier market insights for assigned procurement categories.
• Engage in improvement projects and initiatives to support our sustainability objectives.
• Help to create a culture of high performance in the Procurement team with high motivation levels through effective use of our performance management and reward systems.
• Simplify business processes to reduce complexity to our customers and allow our people to do their best work.
Requirements:
• Previous procurement experience in Procurement.
Experience in Public Procurement is need and highly regulated environment is desirable
