We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Surveyor with project management experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing residential retrofit projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Additionally, the role requires basic surveying capabilities to assist in site measurements, project layout, and quality checks during the early project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house staff.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, reports, and handle any project-related queries.
- Preliminary Site Surveys: Assist in basic site surveying to gather measurements, levels, and site layouts
- Site Supervision: Oversee and coordinate renovation activities across multiple house renovation sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets the company’s standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with homeowners or clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions.
- Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, check for defects or deviations from approved plans, and identify any potential issues early to mitigate risks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records using photographic evidence of daily activities, site conditions, quality assurance reports, and any issues that arise. Report findings to the General Manager and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures on all sites. Ensure all workers are adhering to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Resource Management: Ensure proper use and care of materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinate deliveries and ensure the timely availability of required resources.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or problems that arise on the job site promptly and efficiently. Provide solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Experience and Skills
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry. (SEAI experience advantageous)
· Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
