Psychologists, senior and staff grade are required to join the team at the Laois Offaly Community Mental Health Services, in partnership with the HSE, details of the role are as follows:
- Grade - Staff & Senior Grade Psychologist (Open to Counselling & Clinical Psychologists)
- Area – Laois Offaly Community Mental Health Services – Base CMHT Portlaoise or CMHT BIRR (agreed with candidate) with activities in the Dept. of Psychiatry, Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise
- Supervision – Regular and ongoing Supervision & Support by Senior / Principal Psychologist and Peer to Peer .

Laois Offaly Psychology Service is a dynamic department with over 30 Staff from all psychology area’s; Counselling, Educational, & Clinical, with Assistant Psychologists, Trainee’s (Ed, Coun, Clinical), Staff Grade and Seniors. The Staff grade psychologist will have a key role in providing psychological services to Laois Offaly Community Mental Health Services – Base CMHT Portlaoise or CMHT Tullamore (agreed with candidate) with activities in the Dept. of Psychiatry, Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Job responsibilities:
• Provide counselling and psychotherapy in line with HSE best practice, across the quantum of services including provision of counselling and therapy to children and adolescents
• Conduct assessments and individual and/or group counselling/psychotherapy with clients of the service
• Maintain assigned clinical caseload
The Candidate:
• A recognised post-graduate qualification as a psychologist
• Permission to work in Ireland
• Professional approach to work
