Senior Infrastructure Specialist, Daily rate on site contractor, Dublin City will assist the helpdesk with advanced technical support queries, training and mentoring to the helpdesk team, which currently consists of three staff members
Key responsibilities include providing advice, training and support for
• iPhone trouble shooting and setup as well as device on boarding and troubleshooting of the Workspace One MDM.
• General desktop and laptop
• application support
• The role also involves working closely with management to improve processes and support the efficiency of Helpdesk operations to improve ticket turnaround times.
The successful candidate must have very strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to train and mentor others in a technical capacity. Please note, this is an office-based consultation and support role and requires full-time on-site attendance. Remote work or rostered work-from-home arrangements are not available for this position.
The Senior Infrastructure Specialist will:
• Work collaboratively with Helpdesk Staff to aid them in how to resolve technical support requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Train helpdesk members on various topics/techniques where required.
• Act as a knowledge base for the helpdesk team and other ICT personnel drawing on previous expertise and qualifications.
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Officer and Higher Executive Officer to identify and implement process improvements to support the efficiency of Helpdesk operations.
• Support and mentor helpdesk team members to enhance their technical skills.
• Follow and maintain internal IT procedures and service standards.
• Provide technical support for mobile devices, including iPhone setup and Workspace One MDM.
Essential Requirements/Experience
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar technical support role.
• Recent CompTIA Network+, Security+ and MDAA certification, or an equivalent qualification is a must.
• Experience in mentoring colleagues within the support team.
• Practical experience with iPhones and the onboarding/troubleshooting of Apple devices.
• Strong team player with the ability to provide technical advice and support to colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in networking technologies, including LAN networking, mobile devices, VPNs, and Citrix.
