Senior Medical Scientist - National Laboratory Information System
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE Technology and Transformation service are recruiting for a number of highly experienced Medical Scientists to support the deployment and national roll-out of the National Medical Laboratory Information System (MedLIS) across multiple hospital sites over a period of 4-5 years.
This role remote / hybrid working, with successful candidates required to attend on-site meetings in Dublin 1 day per fortnight as well as available to work on HSE Hospital Sites pre/during/post Go-Live.
Opportunities exist for full and part-time assignments.
This role will require engagement beyond traditional laboratory benchwork with a focus on the deployment and integration of cutting-edge technology to enhance laboratory operations.
Within the role, you will collaborate with Partners Organisations, IT specialists, Software Developers, other Technology & Transformation Teams and Clinical Laboratory Teams to deploy MedLIS and support integration with laboratory workflows.
You will leverage your expertise in clinical laboratory processes to provide critical input on system functionality, customisation and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with the MedLIS project team to understand and define requirements based on laboratory processes and workflows
· Provide technical and clinical expertise to ensure accurate discipline level build and customisation
· Assist in the design and execution of testing and system validation to ensure the functional and regulatory compliance
· Act as a liaison between the project team and laboratory to ensure smooth system integration and adoption
· Troubleshoot system issues, gather user feedback and collaborate with the development team to implement necessary improvements
Interested candidates should have:
· A recognised qualification as a Medical Scientist and CORU registration
· A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, ideally in Histopathology & Microbiology
