Senior SW Test Developer

We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
What you’ll do:
- Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
- Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
- Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project
- Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
- Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
What you’ll need
- BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in modern C/C++
- Troubleshooting - Good skills in identifying and resolving technical and networking/communication issues throughout the entire technology stack
- Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, preferably Google Test
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Skilled in utilizing CMake for efficient build configuration and dependency management
- Experience with Git
Nice to have/preferred:
- Understanding of dependency injection and Software Design Patterns
- Experience with proxy servers and related technologies, Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that lets a developer view all of the HTTP and SSL / HTTPS traffic between their machine and the Internet.) and virtualization port tools like VSPE, COM2COM
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest NUnit)
- Experienced in Tools for test development
- Experience in test automation
- Familiarity with Rust is optional
- Experience with Code Coverage tools and procedures is a plus
- Some experience with Python
