Site Civil Engineer

My client is a progressive and innovative specialist Civil Engineering & Building Company that delivers high quality projects safely, on time and within budget. Through the experience and pro-active approach of our highly skilled Management Staff, Engineers and Skilled Workforce, we have established, and continue to grow, a solid client base throughout the country.

Due to expansion we look to hire an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join the team permanently.

Key Responsibilities

·      Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.

·      Interpret and review technical drawings, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

·      Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

·      Conduct site inspections, setting out works, and ensuring quality control.

·      Monitor project progress, report on milestones, and address any technical challenges.

·      Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed.

·      Assist in managing project budgets and controlling costs.

·      Prepare reports, technical documentation, and method statements as required.

Requirements

·      Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

·      Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering, ideally in infrastructure, utilities, or groundworks projects.

·      Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.

·      Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.).

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.

·      Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

·      A full, clean driving licence is essential.
